This in return provided me with greater access to books and other resources which I was happy to make use of. When I was 16 and entering my senior years in high school, I decided to choose science stream to further my interest in mathematics and science. I believe in living a healthy lifestyle and so I joined the school’s volleyball club and represented my school for the annual district zone’s volleyball competition. My school team won the 1999 junior’s championship. Music is the spice of my life and I was happy to work hard on my duties when I was elected as the president of my school’s music club and even had the opportunity to perform at St. John ambulance society’s gathering, scout’s campfire and also Chinese Cultural Society’s annual gathering. Friends are important to me, thus I am actively involved in the school’s Interact club. In addition to have many friends, I get to harness my financial skill when I was elected as treasurer of the club. It goes with my belief of ‘Service above Self’. At the moment, I am a student at KDU College, and Publisher Executive of the college’s Chinese Cultural Society (CCS), which is an extra co- curriculum program. In 2004, I had the opportunity to take part in a youth camp organized by CCS and won the “Best Leader Award” in year 2004. I am currently furthering my studies with the American Degree Transfer Program in the said college. My major is Aeronautical Engineering and have plans to further my studies in the US. It is known to everyone that the US is the best place to advance my studies in this field because of its great advancements. I am very keen in pursuing Aeronautical Engineering because it deals with my passions in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and Physics, which is very interesting and challenging. It requires very advance aircraft manufacturing systems which, unfortunately, Malaysia’s technological resources, though practical, is insufficient for me to pursue my dream.
