Characterization
...those seen more over the time. Those characters are more developed and the reader has a good idea of what type of person the character is. They are more complex which makes them more realistic. Normally, the main characters learn a great lesson during the story that either makes them grow or change. On the other hand minor characters are those who fill out the story. They are equally as important because they help to shape our interpretations of the main character and foreseeing the changes the main characters may undergo. They are two different types of characters round and flat. Round characters: those who are surprising and exciting. Flat characters: not complex and do not change. Goodman Brown is a round character; he brings excitement and complexity with him as he faces evil. Jack from No One’s a Mystery is an example of flat character he is lackadaisical and makes no changes he appears to want excitement but shows none. Characters, clearly defined and illustrated make it easier to understand characterization. When a character is characterized he or she becomes fully visual to the reader, physically and emotionally.
