We should not allow euthanasia

...Euthanasia has three types such as voluntary euthanasia wherein the patient itself request euthanasia, involuntary euthanasia, if killing is against the patient wishes to die. For example, if the doctor or medical personnel found out the his or her patients life is not worth living, the medical killing of such patient as it is done just to prevent suffering is involuntary euthanasia. Lastly, is the non-voluntary euthanasia. Where the patient is in the state of a comatose for example and cannot distinguish life and death and incapable of making life decision, non-voluntary euthanasia is done. The most famous example of the non-voluntary euthanasia is the case of Terri Schiavo. Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo or commonly known as Terri Schiavo, a Florida disabled woman who suffered from brain damage and was in a persistent vegetative state died last march 31, 2005. It is said that 13 days after her feeding tube was removed, Schiavo went into cardiac arrest and died. Many people gave their opinion regarding the death of Schiavo. As they commented, Michael Schiavo has the right to make decision in behalf of her wife since Terri is in a coma state. Thus, Michael should not be blamed as to her death. Also, many doctors agree that since Terri is unconscious and her condition is irreversible, they support the removal of Schiavos’ feeding tube. Similarly, the question to remain or not to remain in place the feeding tube of Schiavo, 13% agree that the tube should be removed. At this time, the effect of Schiavos’ death to the Americans leads to the increasing interest of the american people on the importance of having a living will. Now, the question is should we allow or not the practice of euthanasia? We know that this question is confusing for many though it is not a new issue anymore. But to answer this issue is a very difficult one. Many are pro and against euthanasia. Those people who are in favor of euthanasia had these following reasons: “That everyone of us has the right to decide when and how to die”, “that we have to spare people suffering because it is very inhumane to refuse the person the right to die when he or she is suffering from unbearable pain or distress”, “that if when euthanasia does not violates the...
