COMPARING CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM
... following quote shows how God created the world from nothing: “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth.” (Genesis 1:1). In the account of creation recorded in the book of Genesis, God speaks plurally of his own person; referring to himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26, 27; Genesis 3:22; 11:7, Isaiah 6:3, 8). Islam rejects the concept of the Trinity. The Koran misrepresents the teaching of Christianity regarding the Godhead, claiming Christians believe in “Three Gods” – Father, Mother, and Son. (Sura 5:116, 5:73-75). Mohammad was a sinner and Jesus Divine. Mohammad was not divine but the last of the prophets. Jesus claimed to be god. He accepted worship, forgave sins, and led a sinless life; eventually raising himself from the dead. Islam considers Jesus a prophet just like Moses, Abraham, and Noah. Jesus was more than a prophet. “He is God!” (Matthew 17:5). While the two completely different religions clearly have formed their own opinions about the other, it is the Christian belief that there truly is only one God; The Alpha and the Omega! God says “There is no God before me and there shall be no God after me.” We as humans should not judge one another, but let God decide the wrath of non-believers. While the Christian religions teach us to love one another and fight only in last resort, the Islamic faith says to fight against anyone who believes in any God other than Allah. (“Those who believe not in Allah and his messenger, he has prepared, for those who reject Allah, a blazing fire!”) (Koran 48:13). Islam denies the crucifixion of Jesus, claiming he never died. Jesus did die and rose again! For Islam, Salvation must be earned. For Christianity, Salvation comes only be faith and through grace. The only sure way for a Muslim to make it to heaven is to die in Jihad (Holy War)! Christians make it to heaven by will and divine faith. Islam both allows and forbids murder depending on who is the recipient of the act. The Bible forbids it! (“Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme”), (Koran 8:37). The Bible says “Thou Shalt Not Kill” (Exodus 20:13). One religion justifies killing, the other opposes it. One religion ensures believers will go to Heaven, the other believes they will only go to Heaven if they die in war. ...
