...dence of shootings in our schools because as soon as Something gets a little too hard to handle out come the guns. This was exactly the case of what happened in Columbine H.S, Littleton Colorado. What happened! On the 20th of April 1999 the students of Columbine High school, Colorado started their 11 o’clock break and either headed for the Cafeteria (canteen) or the library for some study time. The two students named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold arrived in Eric’s car wearing their trench coats, signaling their ties with the high school gang the “Trench coat Mafia.” They were also carrying They were also carrying large back packs that contained the instruments that in the next 15 min’s would cause panic and terror in this normally quite and subdued school. Dylan and Eric drove into the student car park at 11.15am and then got out their guns and started to fire bullets at unsuspecting students! One of these students was shot in the parking lot as the killers made their way up to the canteen and library to continue their violent spree. It is still a mystery what exactly happened in the canteen when Harris and Klebold entered but from what physical evidence and the evidence given by students this is what happened. As Klebold and Harris walked into the canteen they both opened fire on students but at one stage in this rather blurred procedure one of the boys hurled a home-made pipe bomb into the centre of the cafeteria and then continued to fire shots. It was later discovered that if the pipe bomb had gone off the bomb would have become a massive fire ball and ripped apart the school killing an estimated 600 people (more people killed than in the Oklahoma bombing.) Harris and Klebold after having their plan fail on them continued to the library where the worst of the killing and carnage happened. Whilst inside the shootings were happening in the library one of two things must have happened to bring the killing of innocent lives to an end.
