...These questions will soon be answered in the following essay. When a baby is first born it learns facial expressions, emotions, and body gestures from watching and immatating its parents. So, the baby learns the joy, anger, and whatever other emotion that its parents may eventually feel throughout the child’s lifetime and that the child learns from its human relationships with its parents. So, without learning this joy through their human relationships, they would never learn joy and we have come back to the quote. I basically explained my second reason or explanation of the quote in what I said in my introductory statement, but I will go into more detail in the following paragraph. From the beginning of time the evolving humans were said to have traveled together, hunted together, and even slept together. People like (for the most part; watch out for my devils advocate paragraph) to be around other people. Just as wolves travel in numbers for safety we do the same. We travel in numbers and stay in numbers for safety, companionship, and communication. In other words, we have joy in being together. Without that feeling of togetherness or the human relationships that we gain from this we wouldn’t have joy. So as to simplify the quote...I explained it again. As I said before this quote means all of these things to me, but I kind of disagree with it. What about people who are content living alone? Those people whom we call "hermits", do they just go through life joyless? I believe the answer to this question is no. The...
