You can give it freely to whomever you wish to, like a boyfriend/girlfriend or someone not even significant, like a date you barely know but you long for the intimacy. These people never think if something bad happens that it could change the rest of their life just because they choose to engage in pre-marital sex. First of all, you could have a one-night stand and end up getting pregnant and you would end up becoming a single mother because the guy is not going to be around. Another is what if you were to get a sexually transmitted disease and it could be deadly. That would change your life forever and might change your partner’s life forever. You never know if your partner could have a STD, they might lie to you or they might not even know if they do because they could of gotten it from someone they had sex with. Having sex is much more common in today’s society than it was twenty years ago just because of how the world has changed in the public eye. Statistics show that most teenagers have had sex before they graduate high school: 40% of ninth graders, 48% of sophomores, 57% of juniors and 72% of seniors have engaged in sexual intercourse (www.mentalhelp.net/chap10).
