...ery of praying monks. The large, gymnasium like room was filled with people from all walks of life. In the far right corner, around a rectangular table sat a small group of eighteen or nineteen year old guys, all wearing hoodies and trucker hats pointed in every direction except forward. Each one of them sat with their arms propped up on the chair next to them and used extra chairs around them as footstools. Three tables away sat a handsome, intelligent young man who was apparently writing a paper on a laptop. For an unknown reason, the man with the computer appeared to study the people around him, then write, and then study the people once more. One could only imagine what he was writing. Behind the man with the computer sat a group of three girls. Coincidentally, all three girls had shoulder length platinum blond hair, short skirts and dark, late summer tans despite the fact it was early April. The three girls obviously suffered from what doctors call “Human Barbie-ossis”. It is a very serious deficiency in which young girls, aging from sixteen through 22 try to physically recreate their childhood dolls through the use of makeup, overpriced clothing and most importantly, the tanning booth. As a person shifted their eyes around the large room, one would be attracted to aesthetically pleasing, hunger-provoking meals created by Linn-Benton’s culinary arts students.
