While, the father's role of being patient,considerate, and understanding is important, in the end all cards are still held by the mother herself until the time of birth. During a child's life, a mother plays an essential role. A mother is someone who is always there when the child calls or cries out despite the severity of the situation at hand. When everything takes a turn for the worst and all hell has broken loose, it's still the mother that a child runs to in most instances. Despite all negativity towards a person, in the eyes of her child, a mother is the greatest and most precious person there ever was. She is also the one who expereinces most of a child's firsts- from their first inside her to their first dates and so on. Thus, a mother's role in her child's life is nothing short of critical. Mothers serve as the backbone as well as support system of a child's life. This holds true whether the child is two years of age or ninety-two. At any age, for most people, when asked about the person who means the most to them, they reply that it's their mother. While for many, mothers are thise who gave birth to them and raised them from infancy; for many others, a mother may be a person of a somewhat different nature who still possesses the same important qualities.
