...om with mutual respect. An atmosphere where my students admire me for my knowledge and experience. I will in turn, respect them for voicing their opinion and views of the material they are learning. I am determined to affect all of my students individually in a positive manner because I know they are capable of learning. I will provide the students with opportunities and will expect them to be challenging themselves and setting personal goals with the material that I am teaching. All of my students will be expected to participate. This is because I believe that learning is best achieved through participation. Students will be permitted to share their thoughts on how the material relates to their own lives, through discussion and personal reflection. Incorporating their experiences and skills in my teaching will not only benefit the other students in the classroom but can expand my knowledge as well. As educators we are aware that all students apprehend subjects differently. This is why I will be using various teaching methods to reach all of my students. I will combine direct and indirect teaching styles. I will also include divergent inquiry. This will encourage students to use a more broad band of thinking, to use a more open mind as there will be more than one possible solution.
