From the political stands, I think that it is up to the states to decide what they are going to do there. It is very clear that they are going to be divided like in the case of abortion. Religious leaders are against euthanasia. The arguments are usually based on the beliefs that life is given by God, and those human beings are made in God's image. Some churches also emphasize the importance of not interfering with the natural process of death. For me the most important ethical issue is moral conflict. And that is again bringing us at the beginning and the problems we are facing with making the right decision. “Living will” is one of the solutions, but if we don’t have one then decision should be only made from the family members after a consultation with the doctors when they realize that there is nothing that can be done from the medical side,...
