...ior can better help future development at any cost. In the Zimbardo experiment, it was proven that submissive, passive students were given the role of the guard and turned that role into reality. They were violent and abusive to the inmates. The inmates on the other hand were taken into the experiment and were told it would last for only 2 weeks. After the first six days the experiment ended because they were too involved in there roles. They do depict human behavior however still exhibit how unethical these experiments really are. I have come to the conclusion that these experiments are immoral and are not necessary to discover human behavior. For instance in World War II, we saw how dictators with no trouble manipulated their soldiers. By modeling this behavior we will be able to prevent such situations to occur again. In the Milgram experiment, the participants were being dictated upon, much like the soldiers in the Nazi régime. For instance, they were given guns and told to “act appropriately” just as in the Milgram experiment, they were easily influenced to act violently.
