...at’s what sisters do right? Make time for their family…right? Well, again I was wrong. Remlin’s routine of going to work then going to see her boyfriend continued for couple of weeks. Till, one day my mother went to see Remlin at work and she was nowhere to be found. My mother was furious! She kept calling her cell phone but every time she did there was no answer. So, my mother told me to call H.E.B and see if she had come in at all. The manager told me she had not been working there since April. She said Remlin had been fired. My heart sank to the ground. I did not understand why she would lie about working there. I understand she wants to go out and hang out with her friend but to lie to your family for two months about where you have been just doesn’t sound right. I was so upset. I kept asking myself why. Why would she do such an idiotic thing? I mean she could have just told the truth. At this point I had to find her. So, I kept on calling and calling her phone but of course, no answer. So, my mother and I waited for her to come home. Sitting there waiting for her to walk through that door was excruciating. I was not sure what I felt more angry or hurt. All I knew was I had to talk to my sister. We sat there for a while and finally she came home. My mother started yelling at her so I went to my room. Again I had to wait but this time I knew she was going to be there. After a few hours went by she came into my room. She looked at me and said she was sorry but sorry wasn’t going to cut it. We had our talk I understood her reasoning but I did not agree with it. There is no excuse to lie to your family about anything. A few weeks went by and I thought things were going great. Remlin and I were spending more time together and everything was going smoothly. Unfortunately a good thing never lasts no matter how fool proof you think it is.
