...back so that set me back about a month. The big gain was in my nutrition. Since I became more educated about how important nutrition is to my overall health, I started eating smarter. I知 not one of those people that need to lose weight. I actually would like to gain some weight, but not fat. While eating right and drinking the right fluids I was able to add more muscle to my frame. The sport I知 involved in helped me tremendously with my fitness this semester. I知 on the varsity basketball team. Our practices helped me work on my muscle endurance and cardiovascular fitness. Endurance was stressed from the first day of practice. Our coach believes that we should be in better shape so that we can pull out the close games in the end when other teams tire out. With as much running that we had to do, these aspects were the first areas I improved in. I didn稚 really improve my speed, but I improved the amount of time I can run at full speed. We also lifted weights regularly, but then we slowed down a bit when the season started. Weightlifting will be stressed again during off-season workouts in the spring and throughout the summer. My flexibility was also helped by the amount of stretching we do in practice on a regular basis. Although basketball helped me in several aspects, it did not help me with my nutrition.
