.... I desire to combine my love for education and my deep interest in Korea by working as an English professor. After graduation, I was chosen to work as an assistant English professor at Eichi University in Japan. To University students from age eighteen to eighty-one, I taught conversation, reading and writing my first year. The second year, I created three new classes: 1) A British/American culture class because I felt it was important for students to understand the culture along with the language; 2) travel English focused on totally relevant and useful English with the aim of preparing students to travel and live abroad; 3) music English class, because one of English's most cherished mediums is music. Also during this time at Eichi University, I learnt about Korea from several of my Korean students. I was intrigued by the Korean people who have survived, and now thrive, in the face of so much adversity throughout their history.
