...ork. Jack said that he would not move because Julia would refuse to. The job finder pleaded with him to ask her anyways, she told them once a person stays unemployed too long companies start wondering about why he hasn’t been hired. Sometimes they wont even give him an interview. Jack thought that Julia would never move because she had a good job and especially if she had a new boyfriend. He decided he would ask her anyways when he got the chance. When he got home he called his sister Ellen who is a physiatrist and is well suited to her job, because she loves telling people what to do. Jack tells her about how he thinks that Julia is cheating on him and how she is no longer paying attention to the kids. Ellen tells him to find a lawyer, even with Jack’s protests she decides to come over. When Ellen arrives Julia actually showed up for dinner and put on a good act for the whole family. She pretended that everything was fine between Jack and herself and that she was fine with Jack not having a job and taking care of their kids. Ellen saw through the act and told Jack to get his lawyer quick. After the dinner Julia headed back to work and Jack thought he saw a young man in the car with Julia as she pulled out. Soon after he realized that she had crashed 5 miles away from the house and that they were trying to rescue her. Jack went down to the crash sight and asked if there was a man and if he was ok. The police officer said that Julia was the only one in the car. Julia made it out of the accident with relatively minor injuries. Later that night a phone call from Ricky, an Xymos executive, said that his old company Mediatronics wanted him back. Jack hesitated, but with some encouragement from his sister he called back the next day to get the job. Xymos sent a helicopter for Jack and flew him out to the fab labs in Nevada. He was suspicious of why they wanted him there. And what the problem was, when he arrived his friend Ricky was acting very weird and was beating around the bush a lot. Jack was not getting a full explanation of why he was there. He found out that there had been an escaped swarm of nano bots that were presumably dangerous. People had found several dead animals in the past few weeks and it was thought to be these robots. Jack thought of that as impossible and dismissed it. He did not even know how they were able to fly in the high winds and support themselves. Then Ricky told him that they had added memory to the bots and a solar power system. So the bots had evolved so that they could fly in high winds and they could sustain themselves with sunlight. Trying to figure out what had happened to a rabbit he saw killed by the bots, Jack nearly lost his own life to them. Then he realized that they were actually attacking and that they needed to be destroyed. He was frustrated that no one had destroyed them earlier and they had let them evolve. He was determined to stop the bots though. He and a few of his colleges set out to the storage shed for some explosives and a marking device to spot the swarm at night when they were powerless. When they were about to come back two of the members panicked and were killed by the swarm, the three others made it back to the facility injured but alive. Jack being the hero w...
