...are of. Although what you order may not always be what you get!!!! On the other side a run down café with rusty, dirty old equipment. This café is owned by Pantalone who is a very nasty grouchy old man. (Class handout pg 4) He also has a Zanni. He often sends him over the street as a spy to check in on Ll Dottores café. However, his Zanni is quite dumb, and doesn’t quite fulfil the task he’s commanded to do. Another character in the play is established randomly. He is Ll capitano. He is a French Spanish soldier who feels he is good with the ladies. (Class handout pg 4) He is quite sure of himself, and loves to tell stories of him being a hero. However his stories lead a blind eye, as he is quite the coward. The actors play the characters very well. Their focus was incredible. This play is lead a lot by improvisation, so in order to make this performance a success the characters were to stay focused at all times. However they did seem like they were at play. The performance involved little props, which in turn worked better than if there were props. This engaged the audience, as they would have to come up with their own picture of the set. Sound effects were played in a unique way. The instruments used were on set and off to the side, so the audience could see how it was created.
