...been through the same type of thing, he was married and had three kids and his wife died as well. So after about two years they started seeing each other and then got married. Knowing that love would bring them together as a family, it was ok but not knowing how the eight kids would react to this was the problem (Wukovits). The kids embraced the knew mom and dad and ended up moving to Michigan because the new father had a very good job there. Tim and the rest of the kids had to leave the friends and town they grew up in to tackle an unknown. This was a very rough part in Tim’s life because he had lost his dad, know lost his friends, and had to get to know a new father (Wukovits). Michigan was a good move for Tim because he got to be close to one of his loves, cars. Being in Motor City was a good thing for Tim because it got him close to his departed father, who loved cars (Wukovits). Tim started to make friends the way he could, poked fun at them and won them over with his sense of humor. Tim now had to enter into his new life into high school. Tim made it through very easily, he was never that smart but he made it through. Tim made his mark in high school by doing what he always did, making people laugh. Time came and gone and then one day he was elected to be the Junior Field Day chairman (Arkush). Tim was also picked to represent his senior class and stand up and speak in front of them. This was not a big deal to him and he conquered it easily. All high school were steps for Tim that he did not know he was taking. Tim’s favorite class was shop class and did very well in it. After he graduated high school Tim went to college. Tim went to a small school in Michigan and then after a year of that he transferred to Western Michigan (Wukovits). Western Michigan was a big eye opener for Tim. Tim did what he always did, poked fun at people and got through. Tim’s professors saw a lot of promise in Tim and urged him ahead. A few years later Tim graduated from Western Michigan with a degree in Television Production (IMDB). After college, Tim really had no direction in his life, he was still confused and hurt about everything with his father. So Tim stayed around Western Michigan and partied with the new friends he had made. Tim started to use and sell drugs, because he felt like he belonged there. When Tim started to sell drugs, there was a big drugs font going on in Michigan. When he started selling, he ended up selling cocaine to a undercover police officer. The police officer did not arrest Tim because he thought if he kept buying from Tim, it would lead to a bigger person (Wukovits). One day Tim set up a big time deal to go down at a airport in Michigan (Wukovits). Tim got the idea for making the drop at an airport from a movie he watched once (Wukovits). On October 2, Tim drove to the airport with a friend and had a bag with one-and-a-half pounds of cocaine in it (Wukovits). Tim put the bag in a locker and walked over to the police officer, which had $42,000 in it for him (Wukovits). After Tim received the money, he gave the key to the officer and right after that, dozens of undercover state troopers swarmed the room (Wukovits). This was the first time Tim had guns pointed at his head and was scared. Tim said later, “I knew I was doing wrong, it is real easy to get into but it is even harder to get out.” Tim spent the next couple of months in jail waiting for his sentencing. After he got out he began to work at a Sporting Goods Store and that is when he first started doing stand up at the Comedy Castle in Michigan (Wukovits). Tim felt that if he got a job or two it would make the courts see that he is trying and that he just made a mistake. Most people that knew the situation that Tim was in , did not think that it looked good for him. Not long before Tim got arrested, Michigan passed the toughest law for drug dealing. If you got caught with over a pound of any drug, you could spend the rest of your life in prison (Wukovits). The day came for Tim to stand in front of the judge and hear his punishment. The judge told Tim that he would have to serve up to six years in prison, Tim was crushed. Before Tim was led away the judge had a few words to share with Tim, “ During the last year you have done a good job with moving on with your life, you have been perfecting your abilities and been training. You need to continue this and move on, you have a unique ability to get on stage and perform and make people smile. Laugh, and be happy. That is an unusual talent, Don’t waste it.” (Wukovits) In prison, Tim knew if he wanted to survive he had one choice, to make people laugh. Tim had a few close calls with some of the inmates but he made it through. In prison he always made people laugh, and one day took a chance and asked if he could put on a show. The prison said it was ok and he put on a show, the show was a flop because most of what Tim said was to “real life” for the inmates to laugh at. Tim was not going to let this stop him and continued to make people laugh because his goal was to get out and make a career out of this. After eighteen months in prison, Tim was set free (Wukovits). Tim made a promise to the Comedy Castle that he would be back, after he was out he got his job back at the Sporting Goods Store and went to do more stand up. The first night was a big night for Tim, everyone was there to see how much of his skill he lost in prison. After Tim was done with his act, people didn’t know what to say, they just laughed.
