Linda is terrified in case something has happened to Willy. As a result she gets up and asks Willy if something has happened in case if he was hurt. This part of the play proves that the love and nourishment that Linda gives towards Willy. Throughout the play, Willy is shown as a confused sales person who is not successful in both his work place and with his family. In another part of the play, he is shown with another woman rather than his wife Linda. Willy also loses his eldest son’s love towards him. At some parts of the play Willy is almost careless of his family and the same towards him except from his wife “Linda”. This is proven wrong, at the end of the play where he had the courage to give up his life for his family’s sake. For example, LINDA: Willy? There is no answer. Linda waits. There is a sound of a car starting and moving away at full speed. LINDA: No! BIFF, rushing down the stairs: Pop! This part of the play is when Willy commets suicide.
