The disadvantages of working while studying
...‘bad books’ of their lecturers, as it will give a bad impression that the students are lazy in doing their work on time. Moreover, by submitting their assignments late, they will get poor grades. Furthermore, to exemplify this, students will be tired to attend for classes and thus come late. This is because; they will be too tired to wake up after the whole night working. They will surely miss important information in the class and get less information about the subject matter. Hence, they plan to fail. The repercussions of studying while working will not stop there. It brings more menace and deteriorates a person’s health. Stress will become a major issue to be solved. How does this give stress? According to Prof Hassan Mubarak who wrote an article about students’ lifestyles. Stress is the number one silent killer in a student’s life. It is contributed by heavy multiple responsibilities that a student has to go through. For an example, a student who works while studying has to bear all the burdens of assignments and projects in school and also burdens in the working world, which is a daily routine matter. They have to shoulder these responsibilities in order to succeed and most of the time, many employers are not very keen to release their staffs for examinations due to shortages of staff. Prolonged problems in this area will lead a person to ‘hypertension’ whereby a person becomes too angry and gets high blood pressure. As a matter of fact, this may even lead to the student or person taking drugs to sooth their mind and runaway from stress. A favourite drug amongst students is Amphetamine pills and sleeping pills. More students are turning themselves in to these drugs as a savior to their problems. Many students land themselves in trouble by abusing these drugs. Some even become mentally unstable in the course of these events. Temptations brought by this modern world are great and as such, lack of concentration will become another major problem.
