Advantages of Taking Notes
...on you have summarized by re-reading what you have wrote. Rehearsing is another way of helping you learn what you are reading and trying to learn. Taking good notes is the key in learning to memorize what you have read. By selecting important facts and organizing them in proper categories will help you understand what you read and can make your note taking much easier. If you just underline things as you read you will not pay too much attention to what you are reading. Also if you do not write notes down on your own in your own words you will not be reciting or rehearsing what you have read which causes you not to learn properly.
