This word has such a negative image during this part of the story. This quote is the realization of a new word, “I”. The word was holding him from becoming independent and recognizing the person he is. The word “We”, was blurring him from the true person he was. Secondly is the quote, “My happiness needs no higher aim to vindicate it. My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end.” Prometheus is on the mountain as he is saying this. This quote is a way of showing he is now free and no one can stop him. He has a goal now and knows the direction to go. The potential of the happiness is endless. The happiness that he possesses has its own goal and purpose just like he does. The happiness that he has can be representing him. This quote is talking about more than happiness. The happiness is representing all the other qualities that he has. All the qualities have an endless potential and all have a purpose. They just need to see assign directing them towards that summit. This quote also means that happiness is the finished product at the end of it all. At the end of the day, happiness will be there and will always be there. Lastly is the quote, “I am. I think. I will.” This quote was said shortly after he discovers the word “I”. With this new discovery, he is able to see a new way of life. Prometheus and the Golden One are now independent and self-sufficient. They don’t have to depend on others to live or work.
