...inced a keen interest in the Human Resource, the field for marketing management and general administration. Since my career goal is to become a successful and reputed Management professional specializing in Human resource, I would like to fortify myself with professional expertise in the major areas of Business Administration and Human Resource Management in order to positively respond to the needs of an ever-expanding world of business and a continuously evolving global market place. I seek an MBA from Monash University, as it will help me to achieve my short-term goal of obtaining a Management position in an emerging MNC with interests in Asia. I trust my experience with my current employer (Standard Chartered Bank) would enable me to give more than my share of anecdotes and pointers to enhance my peers at business school with in-depth knowledge of banking operations. The program will provide a theoretical foundation to complement my previous experiences in Human resource consulting and Banking operations, which will in turn help me fulfill my long-term goal of starting a business venture in the Asian subcontinent of India. My professional experiences so far have been diverse yet relevant to my ambitions. After graduating from college, I worked part time for the advertising business headed by my father, where I became responsible for the firm's highest profile clients and managed projects early in my career. After my two years working part time with my father, I wanted to experience working outside the family business and thus joined a Management consultancy firm. Early on in the position as HR executive, I became truly aware of my aspirations to pursue HR as my main forte. I very quickly moved to the post of Team Leader under the mentoring of my boss. However fulfilling my job was, I felt a Consultant firm in my hometown did not expose me to the international market much further than the HR department of major MNC’s.
