Where Ness and Stone where after a bookkeeper who was catching a train, a lot of action and dead bodies. Elliot Ness pushed the Assassin off the roof because “that’s how far he was prepared to go”. The assassin reminded Ness of what Malone taught him and what he told him “how far was he prepared to go”. I think Ness was justified pushing the assassin off. The roof the assassin had killed heaps of people and even though they probably couldn’t prove it, what difference does it make if one more bad guy gets killed. he provoked Ness he gets killed his fault. Malone was a “Good man” he wanted to uphold the law, he wanted to rid his town of the evil that corrupted many other “Good men”. He was prepared to go all the way to help do good. He was prepared to sacrifice his life just to help his town out. He went on a raid to get some booze even tho the mountys stuffed it up he still accomplished what he was sent there to do.
