Public transportation system, contrary to roads and high ways, will benefit more people because more people will be using the system. Our family, for example, does not own a car. We rely on public transit system to commute to work and school. We do not benefit from improved roads and highways, and why should we continue to waste our tax money on this government? Secondly, and more importantly, public transportation system helps to save our environment and ease the traffic congestion in big cities. I think this is a simple notion everyone can understand. If all of us take buses or subway instead of driving our own cars, there will be far less pollutants emitted into the air. In the end, we will benefit because the air we breathe will be cleaner, and it’s good for our health. It’s the same with traffic congestion, if we drive less, and there is a good public transit system, we will not have to bear the hectic traffic everyday and all of us can get to where we want to go...
