...mell of smoke filled the nostrils of many, and fear was swept through the hearts of all. It seemed as if time itself slowed. Screams were heard, but were faint. All everyone can see is the terrifying scene. To avoid a fiery death, people were throwing themselves out the windows of the towers. The smell of sweat and smoke was strong through the air. Millions of thoughts flooded the minds of the people, frozen in terror, or doing what they can to help others in need of aid. The taste of fear was in all. The ground then began to shake. The first tower started to fall. It didn’t fall to the side, but straight down. A level clasped. The one beneath it was next. Quicker and quicker the levels crumbled, the tower fell. An avalanche of smoke, ash, and debris charged through the streets of New York. All went black. Pieces of rock and other debris would hit and bite at the flesh of one in the cloud. Breathing would become the greatest challenge of survival, as your first breath in the cloud will leave you coughing and gasping for air.
