The immediate effects of smoking might cause a teen to hesitate before picking up a cigarette. For example, bad breath and yellow teeth are only two effects of smoking. But for teenagers, these two effects might affect their relationships now between friends and their relationship with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Immediate effects of smoking will have a great impact on teenagers in the present and give them a reason to stop now, rather than thirty years later when they have lung cancer. Both Museums have mission statements that they are supposed to follow or at least attempt to follow. The mission statement for the Brooklyn Museum of Art is more impressive and seems to be more effectively carried out. The American Museum of Natural History’s mission statement is: “…encouraging and developing the study of Natural Science; of advancing the general knowledge of kindred subjects, and to that end of furnishing popular instruction. – To discover, interpret and disseminate – through scientific research and education – knowledge about human culture, the natural world and the universe.
