Philadelphia Constitution Center

...ough the doors it looks and feels as if your inside a state of the art shopping mall. There was then an option to see a show but I decided that I was going to skip it and head straight to the exhibits. I walked further and noticed an area where they had screens with the faces of different important people from America. It was neat because you could click on a certain face and the screen displays what that particular person had accomplished in their life in terms of creating the Constitution. Right next to these faces is the timeline, which in my opinion was incredibly informative. The timeline provides information regarding to every year that had some sort of significance to the writing of the Constitution. Along the timeline are interactive booths that teach you about different events in history. There are also games and interactive exhibits that really show how technologically advanced this place is. The last part of the Constitution Center that you walk into is a replica constructed to look like the real room where the Constitution was signed. Inside are statues of certain historical figures that played a role in the creation of this document. They seem to me like they are accurate depictions. In this room you feel as if you are a part of this historical event. This was definitely one of the most interesting parts of the Constitution Center. I talked to three random people in the Constitution Center as I was observing the timeline and got their views on what this wonderful place meant to them. One person told me that she thinks Philadelphia is doing a great thing by displaying our history for America to see. She said that the Constitution Center was an important learning tool for the children of Philadelphia schools. Another person seemed pretty upset that he was there to begin with. He was there with his wife and told me that he thought the city of Philadelphia wasted valuable tax dollars on a building displaying historical...
