Skipping Class
...Sadly, you skip class to get away with your friends at the expense of your grades. By leaving with your friends, you give up important class time that you could learn more of the topic at hand. When you go to the mall, it causes you to miss things that a teacher or student wouldn’t put in their notes. If you put your friends’ ideas away, then you can concentrate on your school work and go to class. Secondly, students may skip class because of depression. Leaving one’s home for the first time may bring sadness to their life. Being on your own can also lower yourself. That feeling of independency may sometimes work in your favor. Some relish the opportunity to be on their own to prove to themselves and others that they can make it. But in most cases, especially freshman don’t make it to class by being overly emotional and just don’t want to do much of thing. If your heart just isn’t in it then success isn’t in your future. Another reason that a student may want to skip class is ego. Yes, ego. Apparently some students that have a free ride may think that that don’t have to do anything to past their classes. Some students hear may hear that a certain teacher is easy and you don’t have to do anything but show your face on test days. These are usually students that have either cheated or flunked that class. Athletes on scholarship are another group that thinks they have it made. Because they can run and jump they think that they don’t need to make the grade like someone owes them something. The last point that I want to bring up about reasons students may skip class is laziness.
