The Youth of Today
...y. These are the branded leaders. People who live behind titles. People who lives giving out orders. Whether it is for work or for personal purposes, they have to be a leader. Their job depends on it. Their personality calls for it. People who have studied and worked hard to achieve become a leader. Well trained and well versed these are your average branded leaders. Now tell me, what about the younger generation? The marginalized, people who actually do not look like leaders. The spineless youth. The uneducated. The unemployed. The out of school youths. Will they be followers forever? Will they depend on drugs, sex and alcohol or link themselves with the so called branded leaders for their everyday guidance? What effect will this bring out of them as they go through life to adulthood? The time is now. Today. This moment. This very second. We are all leaders. At that moment we had the right to enjoy free will – we are leaders. Not a leader of a nation or an organization but a leader of our selves. As Jesus Himself has said it, we are temples of His holy church. We were given the free will to do as we please. We are our own leaders. Would a good leader bring his people to do something bad? Would a good leader turn down his people during their time of need? Leadership is a choice of only two things: Good or bad. The facts are stated. We are all leaders. Leaders of our own life. It is only when we have stabilized our self leadership can we actually be a leader for others. The real world reveals that the word leader signifies strength, knowledge and power. Now imagine that you are applying these three qualities to your selves. You have the strength to control your life. The strength to do what is right and firmly believe that it is the only way to go. The ability to have complete knowledge about many things regarding life – the real life. The power to make a difference; to yourself and to others. Then you are probably on your way to becoming a great leader! Look around you, the world is full of lost individuals, the youth in specific who at this age have turned to other means of leadership. Or maybe yet, are using their potential leadership in propagating something bad instead of something good. It is a pure waste of energy, drive and potential. What can we do about it? Do you want to do something about this? If your answer is yes, then start believing on the following things: 1. You have the ability to make a difference. 2. The gift of yourself to others is not just a good gift – it is the greatest gift one can ever offer. 3. Believe that everyone has the potential to be a leader. 4. Be able to see everyone in a different level. Dwelling more on the inside as to seeing them from the outside. Seeing their strengths instead of their weaknesses. 5....
