Why I Enrolled At Langside College
...o to Pakistan in March 2004.I felt that this was quite a negative experience for me as I now do not hold certificates for all my subjects,which is another reason why I chose to study at Langside College.It was,however,also a positive experience becaus I did learn alot which enables me to understand most of what I am now studying at Intermediate2 level,easily and quickly.I hope to make my tI'me at Langside College worthwhile by studying to the best of my abilities and acheiving the best possible grades that I am able to.By studying Higher or Intermediate2 English i hope to I'mprove my writing skills,and also to have improved my reviewing skills. While studying there are a few techniques which I use that do help me to learn easily.I prefer to have all my notes organized and colourful.Using diagrams and bright colours helps me visualize what it is I'm trying to learn.I do prefer to study with friends but I also like studying on my own,as I am able to concentrate more on what I am taking in.I dont tend to use many study techniques but I do however use the SQ4R method-which my friend taught me a while ago.It involves surveying the chapter,noting headings,tables and figures,then coming up with a question you want answered on each topic and also guessing at the answers.Read the entire chapter,trying to answer your questions,then answer all the questions and state all the main points verbally,write the question and write the answers.Then finally look back over the material an dmake sure you have all the main points.The enviroment at home is perfect for me because I like to be left alone and in peace while I am studying-and when I say that I dont want any disruptions I dont get any.
