...s you’ll need are the following: ratchet, socket, pair of stands, jack, oil catch pan and an oil filter wrench. The next step is to raise the car most cars are low enough that you won’t fit underneath them. To do this you need the jack and the pair of stands. Place the jack underneath the car to any a hard solid plate in front of the car. Raise the car high enough to where you will fit. Once the car is raised to the proper height place each of the stands on the side end of the car this is for security purposes. Now, the engine is cooled off and is raised. The next step is to locate the drain plug. With the ratchet and the socket you can take this plug off turn it counter clockwise to loosen the plug. When the plug is loosened make sure to place the oil catch pan underneath, then you can take off the plug. Let the oil drain completely into the pan. When the oil is drained you can now put the plug back to the oil pan. After this you are ready for the next step. The fourth step to this process is taking off the oil filter and putting the new filter back on. To do all you need is the oil filter wrench. All you have to do is remove the old filter turning it counter clock wise be sure the catch pan is underneath because it will drain a little bit of oil and also you will get your hands full of oil.
