...round the island, and saw a strange old man sitting in a tree. They had seen this old man a year before, but never thought to do anything about it. This year, they did. Tim went first, to climb the tree. Sandy was near by, and was watching him. The tree then grabbed both of them and swallowed them whole. They were transported to another realm, where they met the old man, “Miracle maker, the great Tuttworth”. He said if they wanted to go home, and bring back the Isle of Miracles, then they would have to get the stone key from Skull Mountain. Sandy and Tim meet many people on their journey, and finally get the key, and back to the wizard. They encounter, bulldogs, Blinkmongers, giant snakes, Otterpusses, gnomes and Wartwings. Sandy Johnson is one of the main characters of the story. She loves Mackinac Island, but hates to be called “Munchkin”. Tim Johnson is Sandy’s younger brother, and loves to torment her. He is an inch taller than Sandy, so he call’s Sandy “munchkin”! The Great Tuttworth is the old man, and the miracle maker, that’s in trouble. Gnome, Bulldog, and Otterpuss are all characters that help Sandy and Tim on their way to Skull Mountain. There are many villains in this story that do pester the kids. Wartwings are like flying toads that are dragon size, and has razor sharp teeth and claws. They take pick up Sandy by the shoulders with his claws. Giant snake, over forty feet long, and as big as a train, really dumb, but really fast. Blinkmongers are giant monkeys with huge eyes, their dumb, slow, and chase Tim and Sandy. The main problem Tim and Sandy faced was that they had to get to Skull Mountain, and get the stone key, without getting killed. The Giant snake almost killed them, after the Wartwing had taken Sandy. Passing the River of Dreams, if you looked down in it you were hypnotized and couldn’t move. If the water touched you, you would mostly die. Finally when they got to Skull Mountain and get the key, an earthquake starts, and they have to run back to the miracle maker to give him...
