So this made me think when I failed one of my test and when I got it back everyone did good except me I was the only one happy from the outside but really sad from the inside. Also when my mother tells me to do something such as take out the garbage but really I don’t want to but obviously I have to but inside that inner voice is telling me to stand but I just cant. This relates to the poem “perfect “ by the third stanza when the father am guessing is saying “ How long before you screw it up, how many times do I have to tell you to hurry up” that reminded me of the child and parent relationship if it’s a good one or a bad one. Another point is that in Warren Pryor is like a controlling poem. The parents really control the child to do stuff and they made him go out and get a job am guessing he was only 16 or 17 of age. Like I know for sure if am that age I wouldn’t want a job right away I would like to see what kind of jobs am good at then work my way towards. I wouldn’t like to be force to get a job that I didn’t want to do. “Perfect” talks about the child never screwing up always doing a hundred and ten percent and “The Average” is just like a kid that is expects to be perfect but in his mind he is just an average kid. Perfect means: Thoroughly skilled or talented in a certain field or area and Average means: The usual or ordinary kind or quality.
