...vers and now I don't have one. Well, I tried a soft system restoration, and it only got worse. Files started flying everywhere, shortcuts started multiplying like rabbits on my desktop, it was just terrible. So, I used my last resort. I began a full-blown destructive system recovery, or at least attempted one. First I downloaded all my device drivers (network card, video adapters, all the stuff needed) and burned them, along with any software that I needed onto a disk. Then I backed up what was left of 'My Documents' including 2gigs of music onto the network (it took 3 hours.) I proceeded to open the system recovery software: 'Are you sure you want to begin system recovery?' Yes. 'You realize this well remove all devices and files from your system?' Yes. 'Are you still sure you want to begin system recovery?' For god sakes, YES! 'Please insert Disk 1 of System Recovery...' Disk? What disk? I didn't have any factory disk labeled sytem recovery anywhere! I went online and found out that my computer made the disks and that if I was unable to do so I would have to pay for one. My luck had well past run out, but I wasn't about to buy anything.
