...re I am stationed at. My portfolio would include life drawings, Tattoo designs, Fantasy illustrations, and mock book covers I have created. To make myself even more available to the public I would put my self on multiple illustration websites. These websites list current illustrators there specialties and also show there artwork. Another way to get my artwork out in the world is to do as many art competitions as possible. This will get my name in the art community and eventually produce fruits with more customers. C. Competition is vast in the illustration community there are hundreds to thousands of illustrator out there. Each illustrator specializes in a specific style, medium and type of illustration. Prices for illustrations vary on size, medium, and the experience of the artist. Each illustrator has a different procedure for pricing. So pricing for illustrations can be anywhere from $50 dollars to $3000 dollars. This actually fairs well for me though because if my work fit the guidelines they need for an illustration. The client will usually hire me because Im the cheaper branch of illustrators. D. The business will be operated out of my parents home within the basement. I will operate mostly out commission work received by e-mail or phone request. I will also be selling Fantasy artwork off the website to make some extra revenue. To start the business up I have $7000.00 dollars in savings, which should cover the exspesenses for the first few months. II. Financial Plan A. The expenses of Richards Illustration include Acrylic paint, gauche paint, Illustration board, brushes, business cards, cell phone bills, internet service, and rent. The cost of the paints, brushes illustration board, and business cards would vary on the usage and jobs I acquire. At the minimum I would use 20x30 illustration boards which would come to about $13.00, $50 worth of acrylic paint 50$ dollars worth of Gauche paints, $30 dollars worth of brushes and, $20 for 200 business cards. The unchanging expenses would include the Cell phone bill which would come to about $65 dollars and the internet service would be about $10.00 for dial up. Also rent would include 700 dollars. B.
