Each year, your supposed to sleep about 137 days, due to the fact that students have to wake up early to get to school on time, your loosing about 30 very important days of sleep each year causing sleep debt. Sleeping is kinda like a credit card. With a credit card you have to pay off all your debts. With sleeping, you have to sleep off your debts. Each time you miss out on time from your sleep, you have to make it up. Even a little bit of sleeping debt affects peoples motor skills causing more accidents. You are all pressured to sleep less and less so that you can fit in all your after school activities, like sports, clubs, homework, studying, jobs, or whatever you have. But would this pressure stop if you found out that cutting corners on sleep was making you age faster than normal or risk you doing badly on your SATs? Some communities have even tried pushing back classes to start at 10 'clock so that students would be awake, however, because more than one school had to get their students on buses at the same time, the cost would have been really high.
