Comparision of "Death in the woods" and A Worn Path"/ Climax of "A company of Wolves"

Phoenix going into town was more important than Mrs. Grimes because her reason for going was a life and death matter, her grandchild depended on it and this obviously shows how much she cares about him. Mrs. Grimes seemed like she was going because that was all she knew how to do, she had to do it, she had to feed the animals. Another difference would have to be that at the end of a “Death in the Woods” Mrs. Grimes dies on her was back home but in “A Worn Path” Phoenix does not die even though they don’t talk about her walk home she is still alive when the story ended. I don’t think the line “since her fear did her no good, she ceased to be afraid” was the climax point in the story. It still leaves you wondering if he is really going to eat her. You still don’t know what is going to happen, so how can that be the climax if your building up the excitement to see what will really happen to the girl.
