Korean War was started because they were divided into two different countries and different form of government by Russia and United States. North Koreans were under control by Russia which became communist, giving Il-Sung Kim absolute power to control North Korea. By the time South Korea had election and had Seung-Man Lee as first president, just like United States. Before the war started Il-Sung Kim met with Stalin (who was the communist leader in Russia) in Moscow and Stalin told Il-Sung Kim that he would not support Il-Sung Kim’s plan of invading South Korea unless Mao (who was the communist leader of China) agreed to help. Kim visited Mao in Beijing and assured Mao as he had assured Stalin that the U.S. would not respond. Mao gave his approval because Mao was planning to invade Formosa and wanted Stalin’s help. Stalin began to send Soviet supplies to North Korea (Korean War – 1950). Korean war was started on June 25th of 1950 surprise attack by North Koreans under command of IL=Sung Kim who had absolute power in North Korea to take over South Korea and to make whole Korea to communist and have absolute power over Korea. 2nd of August, 1950 South Koreans were forced all the way to the Pusan perimeter which was little tip at the end of South Korea (Korean War). United States enter the war because they did not wanted any more communist country and counter attack North Korean all the way up to near the border of China and China enter the war which make them end the war because so many people were dieing in countries that entered war and the war was not going to be over so they stopped the war at the 38th parallel. During the war after China entered General Macarthur asked President Truman to use nuclear bomb on China. When General Macarthur asked President Truman to use nuclear bomb on China, President Truman fired general Macarthur in 11th of April, 1951 (Korean War – 1959-93). If the Korean War was continued then United States had to attack China and China was big country and was one of the world powers which United States could have bomb the China if the war was continued and had more people dieing. If United States attacked China then other communist country which was Russia could have enter the war which also was one of the world power than it would have resulted a World War III. During this time United States and Russia had Nuclear weapons, and if war was continued then it would have been a nuclear war between United States and Russia which have kill billions of more people. If war was continued imagine how much people could have died. During the Korean War they had nearly 4 million Korean people died throughout the whole peninsula, and two-third of this people were civilians which is nearly 2.7 million people (Lives Impacted). You can compare to number of people died in Japan in World War II which was 2.3 million people (Lives Impacted).
