...irs. Andrew is probably wondering where I am, she thought. And sure enough, she could see Andrew’s reflection in the mirror as he began to move in closer. “Oh Andrew, I’m really sorry I took so -,” Emma began to say as she turned around. She frowned. “Andrew?” she said again. Emma paused. “Andrew this isn’t funny, I know your there. I think I’ve been scared quite enough tonight,” she added. “Fine, I’ll just sit here an wait until you decide to stop fooling around,” she said, sitting on the stool facing the mirror. Wide eyed and horrified, Emma let out the most terrifying scream. Everyone downstairs was too busy enjoying the party. No one heard a thing. Andrew looked at the clock. Emma has been gone for over an hour. He scanned the crowd of people incase he was mistaken, but she wasn’t there. Andrew walked away from the crowd and made his way up the long, winding staircase. “Emma, what is taking you so long?” he called. “What have you been doing all this time?” He opened the bedroom door and looked around the room. “Emma?” he called again. She wasn’t there, nor was she anywhere else in the house. He searched and he searched for Emma all night long. But she was gone, almost like she had vanished. Many days had past, and Andrew didn’t give up hope. She was the only thing he loved most in this world. His worry turned into grief, as he came to terms with the fact that Emma was gone. He would never ever see her again. The only reminder he had of Emma was the mirror. Its beauty reminded him of her. They were both flawless and so perfect in every way. Soon he found himself staring at that mirror for hours at a time. Before long, Andrew had met the same fate as his beloved wife. Techniques Used to Make the Story Scary Suspense: I used a lot of suspense when Emma had first looked into the mirror and thought she had saw something. When she goes back up to her room to fix herself she notices that something looks different about herself. The mirror is beginning to show Emma’s worst fear, but I don’t mention it yet until she moves in more closely and then she screams. When she looks back she finds herself completely normal and you think that is the worst that could happen. Then she thinks she sees Andrew in the mirror but it isn’t him.
