Something i just wrote
...anet. This really helped me realize that the world was bigger because I saw that there are other countries and other cities out there. It also made me want to explore more of the world. This is why one of my goals now is to travel the world. THIS NOT ONLY MADE ME REALIZE THAT THE WORLD WAS BIGGER, BUT THAT THERE WERE OTHER CULTURES AND ETHNIC GROUPS OUT THERE TOO. In Azerbaijan culture was limited to that of Islam and the only ethnic group was white Caucasians. I thought that all other ethnicities I read about in books were just stuff of stories. Once I remember reading a book about Africa. There were many illustrations in the book that featured people with black skin. I thought this was just a story and didn’t think that they were real, however when I came to America I saw and African American for the first time, and I was shocked. I really thought that they were just in stories. This really opened my eyes to a lot of different cultures and ethnic groups in the world. And I began to understand the world more, and get a better overall picture of it. I now enjoy reading about ancient and modern civilizations to get a better understanding of mankind. THESE EXPERIENCES NOT ONLY MADE ME REALIZE THAT THE WORLD WAS BIGGER, AND THAT THERE WERE OTHER CULTURES, BUT THAT THERE WAS OTHER, DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY IN THE WORLD THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.
