...efore which is, a lot of happiness inside me. It was making me realize that I was part of their lives and that they do think about me. This was the biggest attonishsing surprise I ever got in my life. It made me feel special, happy, and of course I got to spend time with friends I hadn’t seen for a long time. I know things like this don’t happen very often so I did appreciate every single second of it. Mario and Jonathan will always stay in my heart. In the story, “Flowers for Algernon”, and the motion picture “Charly”, there are many similarities yet differences between them. Some things in the short story were better than in the movies or maybe not as sad. Maybe in the movie “Charlie” some things weren’t as sad as in the short story. Some similarities between are that in the movie and in the book Miss Kinnian is with him all the time and helps him get better at reading and spelling. In the short story Miss Kinnian takes her special time to help Charlie because she feels he is special. In the movie she does the same thing for him. Also another similarity is that in the short story he races Algernon a couple of time and he doesn’t beat him, and in the movie, he races Algernon and Algernon beats him all the time. Some differences are that in the movie it shows that he falls in love with Miss Kinnian, and also in the short story it says the same thing, but in the movie it shows all the time he spends with her, after the operation and how they spend time together.
