India's solution to It's problems
...as long as they possibly can, resulting to deformity and misery. We need to eliminate prejudice so that the victims of the disease can get an early treatment and be cured. For that we can create a comedy show based on leprosy themes with people who are victims of the disease, so that the population can discover that leprosy is not transmitted by touch, discover that they can sit beside a leper, and that leprosy is not caused by bad deeds in a previous life. This idea has already been proven successful by BBC world; we need to push it further. Another problem that is causing leprosy is the lack access to drinking water. People in poor villages share a hand pump, but it is unreliable and unsafe. The villagers use canal water for bathing and washing. With no latrines, open defecation is routinely practiced. We need to begin a project that includes a construction of hand pumps and drainage facilities, school sanitary complex, household latrines and demonstration of rainwater harvesting structure. Our next cause is the HIV virus, The main cause again is ignorance, we need to inform much more than we already do. For that we will be asking from other countries a solution for raising money to help this cause. With this money we can create more schools, and family planning, to inform people of the causes and consequences of AIDS and HIV, and be able to help them. These establishments need to be installed in regions where this disease touches them the most, because in these poor regions, a lot of family’s can’t afford to go so far to these places and most families would refuse to let their children go to them, because of beliefs and stigma.
