...nguage is one of the most important tools nowadays. Their goals are: get scholarships, get good jobs, translate materials, and to do that they expect to learn grammar, vocabulary, sounds, conversation and writing in general. When mothers are the ones sending their sons or daughters to study English, they expect him or her learn it to have a good life quality. Usually English is spoken only in the classroom; students don’t have anyone to practice with outside the classroom. They need to learn basic English structures and situations, to be able to produce them in real life situations. They need to develop the basics of the four skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. This is due to the fact that most of them are learning English to be able to interact within that language-culture. The institution It is a branch of one of the main English institutes in Paraguay. Since the building it is not big enough, on Saturdays we have to rent a school. That school is not very well located, and classrooms are not exactly the bests. Desks and chairs are not in optimum conditions, either. There is only one plug in each classroom, and it is at the back. One of my classroom’s windows is broken, and therefore we can here noises from outside. But it is very large, and that allow us to work comfortably. Goals of the curriculum Students will know how to communicate in different settings using a certain amount of learned vocabulary. Students will know how to read different kinds of texts and make use of the vocabulary. Students will listen and comprehend English sentences.
