... he follows his thoughts up with these facts of how the market if falling and the ability to make considerable gains is diminishing. Finally in the end of the article, he brings the whole article together by stating that the new frontier, that once was the wild west and then changed to the business market has passed, and society has to change again, as it historically has been known to do. The logos based appeal in this article, was clearly the strongest of all the appeal bases. The whole article presents the information in a logical way, that is most engaging to the reader. I liked the effective use of the information that he used, and that he put the article in chronological order, meaning the order of past, present and future as it related to the want and ability to achieve more. The one problem with the logos appeal, is that it may be to upfront. All the statistics, quotes, and historical talk in the article could overwhelm the reader. The fear only gets greater, when Shames uses the facts to show that the market is falling and the small chance for achieving more is shrinking. The ethos appeal used in the article works well in relation to the logos based appeal. There are many emotions stirred up in this article, to make the pathos appeal quite effective.
