The newspapers are always running a few days late on current stories because if you think about it there is no way for a newspaper company to continually update the information and get it out to everyone. The newspaper companies would have to re-print the paper every hour or so and try to get it to everybody. This is not possible and there would be too much waste of paper if they even tried. Every paper that you might pick up would be different in some ways. For example, if you looked at your local newspaper and then the newspaper from another town or a bigger gazette even. You would have some of the current stories the same, maybe in a different format or even the stories might be told a little different, but you would also have the towns’ news in the paper. Every paper is not the same, so you can not get the same exact information from every paper. Have you ever read a story out of the newspaper, visualized what was going on in the article and thinking you have the whole story straight; until you watch the news and notice that what you visualized was not at all what the story really was? This could easily happen if you read an article in the newspaper. Sometimes the articles in the newspaper leave important information out or gets information messed up. This could give you the wrong visualized which would let you get the story wrong. When in reality if you watch an actual scene on television you would get the full sense of what the information is really about. I have given you some descriptions about the newspaper and now I am going to give you some descriptions about watching the news on the television. They are the same in certain ways and opposites in a lot of ways as well. Hopefully by me giving you descriptions you can decide what is better for you or which one you like better for yourself to get the information from. When you turn your television to a news channel what is the first thing that you see; Bright, vivid colors, bold headlines, and pictures reflecting from the television. This is what you get when you watch a news channel. The news is very colorful and tends to give you a whole different description about the news and what is going on in today’s society. The news has up to date current issues and is broadcasted every couple of hours for local stations and CNN is always on. Twenty-four hours a day of news brought to you each and every day! When you watch a news channel, the news tends to be on for an hour or a half-hour long. In this short amount of time you get a variety of stories and issues that are happening in the world right here and now. They give you a run through of what has happened in the past few days plus new stories that are not all the way ready yet. Sure, the news talks about special stories that they repeat for a couple of days such as; accidents, missing persons, wars, or disasters that has happened in the world but, the main focus for the news on television is to get you the most current and up to date issues as to what is going on in the world at that moment.
