As a child, Armstrong, stricken with poverty, didn’t find his love for music until the age of thirteen. Armstrong however loved to play any instrument at a young age and played on the streets of New Orleans for pennies. Armstrong faced setbacks in his correctional facility his band teacher wasn’t very experienced and allowed Armstrong to develop a bad habit with his lips that would later cause him problems. Louis never had a trustworthy manager, because all of his managers stole money from him or tricked him into signing bad contracts. Their execrableness motivated Armstrong into fighting along side in the Civil Rights Movement. Armstrong developed new types of jazz music that brought about ostracism. He overcame his adversity and became one of the greatest musical artists ever. Armstrong faced many obstacles in life. Him being spurned from common society aloud him to make some of the greatest music ever played in America. The prejudice and racism Armstrong faced indirectly aloud him to contrive his music.
