One night the soldiers are split up to different lines and many young Australians die before the leader of one of the front lines wonders if they should continue to fight, but before he can interrogate the higher authorities, the radio breaks and Archy is chosen to run messages back and forth. One urgent message needs to be sent, which costs lives, but will he be in time to save the rest of his fellow soldiers? The movie is rather self-explanatory and the acting in this film is quite good and it feels as if you are witnessing this great event in history. It just seems so real when they run up out of the trenches with a war cry and attack, and then they just fall like rag dolls being thrown out. The weaponry in this film is quite good for those times and the layers of dust and dirt covering them is quite believable. In the last few minutes of the film are of sadness and seem to send out a cry of sadness and war.
