They would eat in bed, on top of the comforter, and Dev would tell her stories about his childhood. “After lunch, they made love, on the sheets covered with baguette crumbs.” It is all the little things that Miranda did for Dev that demonstrates the love and affection she had developed for him. Towards the end of the story, Miranda had an epiphany which was caused by Rohin. He begged for her to put on the cocktail dress he had discovered in her closet. Miranda obeyed and modeled playfully for Rohin, and he put his almanac down and declared, “you’re sexy.” Those were the exact words Dev had spoken to her only days earlier at the Mapparium.
