Unless children are loved, they never know how to love people and they can not well adapt to social when they grow up. Jane is not a bad girl even if she is in the miserable environment. We do not know why Mrs. Reed dislikes Jane. She may hate Jane's parents. She may not be able to love a child who is not hers. We never know true reason. It causes us to see Mrs. Reed as evil and take Jane's side. Jane is a really strong girl. She stands the loneliness and pain that nobody love her.
